On June 10th, Heaven brought an angel named Maeve home.
We could never do justice to the incredible words of her mother, who wrote the words below on the day following her birthday:
"Maeve Lucille Baldwin was born sleeping on June 10th at 3:34 in the afternoon. She weighed 4 pounds 5.9 ounces and was 18 1/4 long.
Her hair was red like her dad's and her face was the most beautiful thing we'd ever seen. We spent the day with her yesterday before saying goodbye. All day she seemed to be sleeping. We got to snuggle, swaddle and kiss her. We sang to her, told her stories about how we met, all the hopes and dreams we had for her, we made up stories about how she'd be and what she'd be doing at each age until she's 20. We re- told our wedding vows to her and each other. We gave her a bath, dressed her and brushed her hair. We didn't leave her side for a single second that we spent with her yesterday. Our baby was the single most beautiful thing I've ever seen. We both feel like our hearts went away with her. And I miss her being in my belly. It's an emptiness that can't be described. John and I keep hugging each other and crying and crying because it doesn't make sense. If love were enough she'd still be here with us now. We'd be kissing and loving every inch of her."
At this time, friends of the family are asking for donations in order to help cover the costs for Baby Maeve's service. Anything raised in excess of funeral costs will go to Joan & John in an effort to help cover any additional medical costs or lost wages during the time they spend mourning their sweet baby girl.
