Hi. I am Matt and my dog @kesthecollie and I are helping the family of @maeveydog with her medical bills.

Maeve has what the vets think is a tumour in her sinuses. It is growing upwards towards her brain. Maeve has a heart murmur and a weak trachea which make invasive surgery a big risk. She has been to the vets several times and her family has already spent £2,000 on scans and various medicines.

Blood results so far have been inconclusive. The next step will be a biopsy, which carries risks in itself.

The best case scenario is that it is a particular type of fungus which could probably be managed with a nasal flushing under general anaesthetic, but even this is problematic with Maeve's heart murmur, to be possibly followed by series of x-rays and more tests and scans to diagnose how successful the procedures have been. And to look at further treatments - if necessary and if indeed possible.

It is likely that future costs will be at minimum £1,000 so we have set a target of £3,000 and if that is exceeded then hopefully Maeve's full costs can be covered. Any funds raised above the cost of Maeve's treatment will go to the Border Collie Trust GB.
