I am on a mission to raise money by the end of January to attend the Coastal Studies for Girls, a semester school on the coast of Maine. My goal is to become a marine biologist and I have been presented with an amazing and unique opportunity to help me achieve my dream. I have been accepted to the school, and now I need help raising funds. I am trying to raise $10,000.
Coastal Studies for Girls is a semester school for 10th grade girls only and it is the only science and leadership school for girls in the United States! During the semester I will be immersed in a combination of science and leadership education. I will spend 16 weeks living and working with 19 other girls from around the country!
Academic excellence and rigor, especially hands-on marine science research, are at the heart of the experience. It includes place-based education on the Maine coast, while earning a full semester of my high school credit.
The semester starts February 7th and I hope to explore the natural world, delve into marine science and expand my leadership potential. I would be forever grateful for any support.
