Mael & Sarah - Napa Fire Home Loss
Donation protected
Maël and Sarah recently (April 2020) built and installed a "tiny home" near Lake Berryessa, which was tragically burned as a result of the LNU Complex Fires. While they are safe and sound, many of their possessions as well as their newly constructed home was lost.
Just a few months ago (amidst the COVID-19 pandemic), Maël, Sarah, and their rescue pup Willow, custom built a tiny home and moved it onto property in rural Napa County. They were loving the financial freedom and sustainability that owning a tiny home gave them; so much so that they decided to launch their own business "Petit Maison" with the hopes of sharing this same dream with other like-minded individuals. Sadly, as quickly as their dream and new business emerged, their world was drastically changed as they were evacuated from their home after a summer lightning/thunderstorm sparked wildfires across Northern California, later to be named the LNU Lightning Complex Fires.
Maël and Sarah are in great spirits, happy to simply have each other and the support of their friends and family. Maël was even volunteering at the Napa County Fire Evacuation Center, on this same day his very own home was lost. This alone is a testament to the kind of person he is, always thinking of others, even while enduring his own loss.
Maël and Sarah are an incredibly strong and positive couple, who undoubtedly will look at the devastation they are suffering with a "glass half full" attitude. While many of their material things can never be replaced, ANY sort of financial support that can be provided to help Maël and Sarah restore a sense of "normalcy" to their lives would be greatly appreciated. Please share their story with anyone who may be able to assist.
