Hello, my name is Lilian.

Since 2018, I have been fighting to raise my daughter on my own here in the United States. I’ve always worked hard to provide her with a safe and loving home.

Recently, something unexpected happened that completely changed our lives: I lost my job suddenly.

I had been working as a subcontractor since 2019, but due to an accident involving another worker, the company went under insurance investigation, and I was immediately let go.

I received the news on a Friday afternoon, and by Monday I could no longer work.

It was a huge shock. Suddenly, I was left without income, with bills to pay, and with the responsibility of raising my daughter alone.

Right now, I’m trying to make ends meet by cleaning houses and driving Uber, but it isn’t enough to cover our basic expenses.

It’s not easy to ask for help, but I’m opening my heart: any contribution will help me get through this difficult time, keep our home stable, and start over with dignity.

Desde 2018, tenho lutado para criar minha filha sozinha aqui nos Estados Unidos. Sempre trabalhei muito para oferecer a ela um lar seguro e cheio de amor.

Trabalho desde 2019 como subcontratada em uma empresa, mas recentemente recebi uma notícia que mudou tudo: não posso mais trabalhar para eles como subcontratada por causa de um problema de seguro que aconteceu após um acidente envolvendo outro funcionário.

A notícia veio de repente, numa sexta-feira à tarde, e na segunda-feira eu já não tinha mais trabalho.

Fiquei em choque. Eu sempre fui dedicada e responsável, de repente me vi sem chão, sem renda e com todas as contas chegando.

No momento, estou tentando me reinventar fazendo limpezas de casas e Uber, mas a renda não cobre o básico para sustentar minha filha e manter nosso lar. É muito difícil pedir ajuda, mas agora preciso abrir meu coração.
