Good day everyone,
First and foremost. Thank you for your generosity. It helped so much, words are understatement on how much they appreciated it.
Just to give an update, Mae is not looking good at the moment, she went to hospital last week.
Dr’s found out that her Brain swelled and they. Cannot do anything anymore. Mae will be on Palliative Care soon.
Mae and Geoff held their wedding at the hospital chapel with their closest friends and families last Sunday 25/02.It was beautiful. It’s overflowing with mixed emotions.
Again, we are asking for your kindness and generosity to support Mae and her family with her battle. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,

Hi my name is Melody. I am fund raising for a really good friend of mine. Her name is Shiela Mae Labiste.
Mae is from the Philippines who made Sunshine Coast Australia her home. She loved it here and made a career for herself. She lives with her ever supportive partner Geoff and her 7 yr old son. Mae does not have immediate family from the Philippines over here in Australia. Fortunately she found a partner and parents in law who loves her unconditionally.
Mae works in an Aged Care facility in the kitchen. Made a good rapport with the staff and residents. She is a hardworking woman who takes pride in what she do.
Recently, Mae was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour. She needs urgent medical attention. She have a multiple tumours in her brain that is quite aggressive. She will undergo biopsy and Brain lesion in Royal Brisbane Hospital this week. The doctors will remove the tumours in her brain. It is an evasive and complex procedure.
After the procedure, the doctors will decide what treatment is better for her. She will need 24/7 care. There is no guarantee on how long her treatments will be.She will be off work for awhile.
Mae is fighting her illness. She wants to
live longer for her family. She wants to her son finish graduation and celebrate his birthdays every year. She wants to celebrate Valentine’s with her partner because she is always working.
She wants to go hiking and enjoy nature, share laughter with her friends. She wants to celebrate more Christmas with her love ones. She wants to live.
Mae is fighting for her life.
So, I am knocking in your kind heart to help Mae will her medical expenses and daily expenses such as food for her family, transportation from going back in forth in the hospital and school fee for her son.
I sincerely appreciate your help.
Thank you very much.
