MadziBaba VeShanduko (Godfrey Karembera) is a prominent Zimbabwean activist who was abducted, tortured, and jailed for eight months for protesting against the abuse of the Constitution and Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3, which seeks to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s tenure in office. The courts later acquitted him of the charges.

His homestead was burnt down and he is now living rough with his family. After eight months in prison and without an income, he can no longer afford school fees for his children or provide for his family’s basic needs.

This GoFundMe campaign is intended to help him get back on his feet and provide immediate support for his children and family.

Please donate whatever you can. If you are in Zimbabwe, you can also send support directly via EcoCash on [phone redacted]. It will reflect as Rosina Bafulemu.

Let us stand with this gallant man who has remained resolute in the face of repression for decades.

I am a close family friend who has organized this fundraiser to support him during this challenging time. I will ensure that all funds raised are transferred through trusted international money transfer services so they reach him promptly and securely. Your generosity is appreciated
