At three years old Maddie was diagnosed with focal cortical dysplasia, causing epileptic seizures with stroke like symptoms which they quickly found out was medication resistant in June Maddie will be undergoing a stereotactical EEG to map out exactly how far down her focal cortical dysplasia goes ending in a total resection of the focal cortical dysplasia this will result in deficits to the right side of her body specifically, her right hand will become a helper hand. The family will need to relocate to Vancouver for her to undergo physical therapy and occupational therapy all while leaving their other two young children at home to be cared for by family members.

Her family will be traveling back and forth to the mainland without coverage. Their family will have to continue to pay bills as well as travel ferry and hotel costs. Anything you can do to help their family would be greatly appreciated. This is a family who doesn't often ask for help, so I'd like to ask the community to help make this process a little easier on them.
