Allow me to introduce ourselves. We are an all girl 7th/8th grade basketball team representing the city of Whittier. Our team consists of a core group of girls who grew up watching their older brothers play ball since they were babies. Around 4 & 5 yrs old we created a girl team for them. They've been playing together with the same coach ever since. (9 yrs) The team has won 2 NJB National championships, and an abundance of tournament championships, but most of all the respect and admiration of many people in our area. Their hard work, on and off the court, their love for the game, commitment to education, and commitment to others in the community and each other is what draws the attention of others. We have become more than just a team. We are a basketball family. It has always been our goal for them to play their 8th grade year in Hawaii. For more than half of the team that is this year. To our delight, Mad Skillz has officially been invited to play in the WYBT (World Youth Basketball Tournament), in Hawaii. As you can imagine the costs to make this possible would be extreme. That’s why we would like to ask for your support for our team. Your donation of any denomination will go directly to the costs for the players and coaches. The  WYBT tournament has added some perks on behalf of your donation. Please see the attached sponsorship letter from, Coach Gladstone, the tournament director.
