Mads needed emergency surgery
Donation protected
Last week we woke up to find our cat Mads laying down sideways in pain outside of his litter box. We rushed him to the vet where they found he couldn't pee due to bladder stones and were told if he remained in that state, he would die. After getting him unblocked and able to urinate, he was rushed to the emergency vet where they determined he would need emergency surgery to remove the stones/ increase his ability to pee in the future.

Mads has been our friendly feline companion since before Kate and I got married. He's been a great source of comfort and joy and watching him glassy eyed and lateral was heartbreaking. Having the surgery performed was a no-brainer emotionally but a big cost financially.

We had the procedures done and Mads has been recovering over the last week and is in good shape (despite being disgruntled over having to wear the cone of shame). We know these are trying times but whatever people can contribute towards covering the costs of the surgery would be greatly appreciated.
