My name is Georgia, and I am raising funds in aid of Madrugada (Associação number NIPC 509121365) while training with The Fighter Bristol for their student fight night on March 13th. Madrugada is an Algarve-based charity that provides free, home-based palliative care to individuals and their families.

A tumour on his spine left my Grandpa paralysed from the chest down in late 2016. For someone who had always been active, playing golf, tennis and rugby most of his life, this sudden change was hard. Madrugada provided invaluable support to both him and my Nana, helping set up a ground-floor care space in their home and offering constant guidance, comfort and practical help. The nurses were consistently professional and kind, and their support continued for my Nana even after my Grandpa passed away in March 2017.

In a region where end-of-life care services are limited, Madrugada makes a huge difference to families during some of their most difficult moments. Any donation, no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated and help them continue this vital work.
