The Slaton family's lives have changed forever!!! The head of our family Robert Slaton 'MadRayda' was critically injured in a boating accident and we are all completely devastated by this tragic event. On Sunday, August 18, 2019 Rayda and his boating friends were enjoying a day on the American River.
Rayda was in the process of repositioning his boat when he was thrown off of the boat and was injured by the boat propeller. When he was thrown in the water he saw the propeller coming towards his face. He made a split second decision to grab onto the back of the boat to save his face, unfortunately his leg came in contact with the propeller instead. Rayda sustained critical injuries to his leg. By the Grace of God he had the strength and determination to hold on to the back of the boat. Rayda knew that he has family depending on him and he needed to live for his family. He is very thankful for his MC and Boating community who looked out for him and got him to an ambulance which most definitely saved his life. Thanks to the Heroic actions of Devlon Adams Jr, Tymer(WiseGuys MC) and everyone on the river, Rayda is alive today. Sauce (WiseGuys MC VP) has sat with me daily despite me saying I was good. Thank you for ignoring me, I've appreciated the support.
Rayda, is a strong determined man who has been pushing past excruciating pain as he has endured 5 surgeries so far and he is expected to endure many more procedure's and physical therapy before he can get back to his daily life enjoying his family, MC bothers and Sisters and friends
His family is asking for financial support for medical bills and lost wages. We want to allow Rayda to focus solely on recovering to full capacity and not to stress on his financial stability.
Our family would like to express our most sincere gratitude to all of the men and women who took part in saving Raydas' life. Thank you to the people who have shown up to sit with me in the waiting room , took the time to visit the hospital, people who have dropped food by the hospital and those who expressed the desire to help or took the time to send a prayer up. The text, phone calls and prayers, have all been received in love! Its amazing to know how much Rayda is loved our hearts are full with appreciation.
