Madrasa in Elm Park, Hornchurch, U.K.

Assalamu-Alaikum,

We are a small group of locals that have come together to build a madrasa for the Muslim community in Elm Park, Hornchurch, UK.

This area currently suffers from a lack of Islamic facilities. Our children are growing up without local Islamic education. The nearest masjid is approximately a 15-minute drive away or approximately a 50-minute walk.

There is a growing need to provide the children and adults in this area with a centre where they can gain education and practise our beloved religion of Islam.

We have taken the initial steps to open an Islamic centre and have begun after-school madrasa classes. However, we need financial help to continue running the centre and to increase capacity.
