Madoka Franklin

I am starting this page for my Pink Sister Madoka Franklin.

In March, Madoka went for a annual mammogram. The doctors came back and stated they found something on the images. Being she is young they didn’t seem to concerned, but referred her out for further testing. Upon these further tests is when the devastating news hit her. Stage 2 Invasive ductile Carcinoma. As a wife and a mother of two beautiful children, Ku and Juju the news hit her hard. She knew she had to continue working to help the family financially up until the treatment time. Daily she put on a brave face, and walked back into work not telling anyone what’s going on. We all know her wonderful husband Chris who has lived on Lana’i since 2005. He has ramped up his woodworking buisness to help his family!

On May 25, she will undergo surgery. Chis mom will stay on Lana’i while she travels to Oahu. After surgery the doctors will decide what are the next steps. She does have a long road ahead of her, but she is determined to fight!

I have seen personally how our wonderful island pulls together to help when in need! This is one of those times when one of our fellow Lana’i Ohana is in need. If you are able to donate please do. If not please send her love, and show them that together we are strong.
