Madison's Vision Therapy Fund
Donation protected

At just 5 months old, Madison was diagnosed with Strabismus (lazy eye) and started eye patch therapy.
At 2 years old, she had laser eye surgery to correct this issue and continued with eye patch therapy.
Since a very young age, she has struggled with concentration and organization.
In February 2017, at 12 years old, Madison had a routine eye exam with her new optometris, and it was discovered that she has no depth perception. After further testing it was discovered that her eyes do not work together, which is a side effect of the eye surgery and patch therapy that she had as a young infant/toddler. The optometrist explained that this has the potential to cause many issues in school, including concentration, memory, reading and organization.
As of April 2017, Madison as begun her vision therapy, but her family just learned that their insurance does not cover this, due to an unfortunate loophole in the insurance.
Madison's therapy costs $124 per session, and her therapy plan calls for 1 session per week for 40 weeks.
That is $500 each month that her family has to pay out of pocket for this therapy. They are working very hard to try to make sacrifices to be able to pay for this, but this is an expense that they just weren't expecting at this time.
This therapy is necessary for Madison's development. It could greatlly improve her academic experience in middle school. She works very hard, but still struggles and is starting to fall behind in school and show symptoms of anxiety. If we can help her family raise the money for this therapy so she is able to thrive in middle school, I believe this will help set her up for a more successful future!
If you are able to help in any way, I know Madison and her parents would greatly appreciate it. We are trying to raise $4500 to cover the total 9 month cost of the vision therapy for Madison. Please consider donating, and if you are unable to, please share to spread the reach of this campaign.
Thank you so much!!!!
