Madison’s Fearless Fight With Neuroblastoma
Donation protected

Our sweet girl, Madison Janae Coleman, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma in July 2020.
Anyone who knows Madison, knows she is the most energetic 5-year-old you’d ever meet! So precious, curious, and full of life! At age 3, she was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism SD. Before the most recent diagnosis, she did not have any health concerns.
So, the big “C” word! ...CANCER. How did we find out? November 2019 Madison woke up with a limp. My husband, Perry and I took her to a nearby hospital to be checked out (Metroplex in Killeen, Tx). We were told Madison was just fine and has early childhood arthritis, blood work and scans on her hip was done as well. Approximately two days later Madison was completely back to her normal. She would limp here and there but not often enough to think anything other than what we were told. In July 2020, Madison begin to limp again, but this time with a major behavior change and fever! I immediately thought she had infection in her hip. We took her to McLane Children’s in Temple, TX (30 mins from the previous hospital in 2019). Madison was admitted to the hospital from the emergency department to find out the cause of this mysterious limp. She was inpatient for a week, she had scans which led to the biopsy of her liver and bone marrow. At that time Madison had a mass about the size of a baseball on her liver and the disease was spread throughout her body.
So where are we now? Due to the aggressiveness of the cancer, Madison was referred to Cook Children’s in Fort Worth, Tx. Her treatment plan is estimated to be a year and a half. She has 5 courses of chemotherapy (3 of the 5 are done), MIBG Therapy (completed), Stem Cell Collection (completed) 2 Transplants, Surgery, Radiation, and Immunotherapy. After the MIBG, we were able to look at the scans and the disease areas have improved!!! She still has a long journey ahead, but “it’s not about what you start with, it’s the end results that matter”. In between Chemotherapy and other treatments, Madison has clinic appointments twice a week for blood work. She’s truly a fighter! By the Grace of God, still in very good spirits as well.
As for myself, I’m okay... my baby is showing tremendous improvement. If she’s good, I’m good. I’ve been working full-time at local hospital since 2016, but I had to take leave to take care of Madison. I recently went back to work, but as PRN instead of full time. Due to the treatment plan I am unable to work full time hours and still care for Madison. My husband, Perry (Disabled Military Veteran) is currently taking care of all finances. If your able to donate please do or message me for an alternative way, my cash app is $brittneynmxo. Thank you.
Our family is extremely blessed for all the support and prayers we have received since the very beginning! We can’t thank you all enough. Please continue to pray for Madison strength. With everything happening so fast and unexpected my lovely coworkers started this fundraiser for us at first.
With Love,
