It was shocking to find out about Madison's diagnosis. When this happens to someone you love, you either feel hopeless or double down. As you all know Madison, there has not been one negative thought uttered. She's strong, fearless, courageous, outgoing and kind hearted. She is fighting, we are fighting, and would appreciate if y'all could by donating money to help cover the overwhelming amount of hospital bills and unplanned expenses.
Since 2017 Madison, 22, has been struggling with an unknown illness. That year she underwent her first surgery where the doctors diagnosed her with ovarian cysts. Unfortunately this wasn't the cause of the pain in Madison's pelvic area and this resulted in numerous doctor's appointments, tests, and blood work. In 2020, her condition didn't change, and during The first week of quarantine, she underwent another surgery, in order to hopefully find the source of the pain . After lockdown the discomfort became unbearable, making doctors appointments and tests regular outings. The doctors eventually found what they thought was an abnormally large teratoma tumor and immediately went into surgery. The large mass was not a teratoma, instead a 12 cm malignant tumor. This cancer in specific, neuroblastoma, is predominately a pediatric cancer. There are less than 100 cases reported in adults. Being so rare Madison has made several visits back and forth to Houston, making a plan to kick this cancer's butt. With a weeks notice, Madison has to move to Houston to undergo chemo and radiation treatments, along with surgery in the future.
We are relieved Madison can go through a treatment that actually will help her, instead of being in the dark and having unnecessary procedures. For 5 years Madison dealt with this pain and still is the happiest in the room. It's time to support her. Reach out, pray and please donate. Join Madisons Support Squad!
