Madison’s Smile (Double cleft pallet repairs)

Hi my name is Nickie, I am fundraising for my Neice Madison Recor. Madison was born with PFFD(proximal femoral focal deficiency) hip dysplasia, bilateral cleft lip/palate, and scoliosis. She is now 13 years old. She has had numerous surgeries in her young years, but this is the surgery she has been waiting for the longest. Any donations go directly to Madison’s care, I set the goal for $5000 because after all is said and done that will be Heather and Jason’s out of pocket expenses. The first goal is $800, this will cover a $2500 device and procedure including Imaging and anesthesia. Insurance is covering some of this stuff. The rest is for the remaining 4-5 procedures and devices including oral prosthetics that are not covered due to being “cosmetic”. 

Madison is set up to get her pallet and lip repaired she is also scheduled to get her smile. Unfortunately insurance states this is a cosmetic surgery and does not account for the fact that this sweet girl has never smiled with open lips ever for a photo, that this has effected her self esteem and her desire to interact with her peers. Madison has been bullied about her smile in school, she can not wait for this surgery.

Jason is a construction worker that puts in as many hours as he can to support his family, Heather is an at home mom, Madison’s older sister has Autism and with all the med appointments for both girls and care at home she does a fantastic job. They can not pay for this alone.

This is where we need your help! Insurance will cover a portion of the surgery. They will not cover the X-rays and jaw expander device so our first goal is $800 by the 16th.
