Dear Friends and Family,
I hope each of you are doing well and looking forward to the spring. My final semester here at The University of Oklahoma is the perfect way to close this season of my life as I approach graduation on May 13th. I’m writing to ask you to specifically pray for me as I move into the next phase. I will be attending the Kanakuk Institute in Branson, Missouri next fall. I have been selected for a unique opportunity to attend the Institute and devote eight months (September - April) to intense Bible study and leadership training. The Kanakuk Institute’s mission is to ‘equip leaders with Biblical skills for a lifetime of ministry.’ Many students graduate from the Institute and go into full-time ministry, some pursue higher degrees, and others enter the business world. Regardless of what comes next, I believe the foundation provided by this program is essential for my growth as I move into life after college and want to make an impact for Christ. Would you please consider making a donation in order to assist me in this new opportunity?
A typical day at the Institute includes classes and Bible studies. Discussions include contemporary issues, theological doctrine, and an inductive study of several major books of the Bible. I will have an internship with a local ministry so I can put what I’m learning into practice. God has a lot to teach me in this next year and I’m ready to embark on the journey. I am asking you to faithfully pray for me as I prepare for the Institute and as I study there this next year. I want to make the most of the time I will have to learn from some of the most-respected Bible teachers in the country.
As I prepare for this year of leadership training and Bible study, would you commit to praying for me on a regular basis? I need an army of prayer warriors pleading on my behalf because I know I will face countless obstacles as satan attempts to thwart the growth of God’s kingdom. Will you also prayerfully consider supporting me financially throughout this year? Each student is asked to raise support for the cost of attending the Institute. The support-raising process provides hands-on training in stewardship as I raise the $11,880 needed to cover the cost of tuition, room & board, academic materials & resources, and living expenses. I am trusting God to provide for this need, and I am asking you to partner with me as I commit to investing this next year as a time of leadership training and mission work. The Kanakuk Institute has always been a dream of mine, but the only way to accomplish this is with some financial support. The Institute asks that you make your checks payable to me, Madison Ivy.
