Hello, I’m Madison! The growth plate in my jaw never stopped growing, and once it’s moved as far forward and sideways as it can, it will then grow back and upwards effectively fusing my jaw permanently shut. The surgery to remove the growth plate is $5k and is not considered ‘medically necessary’ and it is not at all covered by insurance. After the growth plate is removed, the follow up surgery to correct my bite and realign my jaw to prevent my teeth from loosening and potentially falling out and to allow me to properly chew and speak costs $30k, and is also not covered by insurance. Me and my family cannot afford either of these surgeries and would appreciate any help from donations or spreading the campaign. Thank you for your time! Please consider helping out.
