Madison Rose's medical bills

Madison Rose Boon is the middle child of three beautiful girls.  This past summer, at just 7 years old, Madison was bitten by a rare tick while playing outside. The result is an atypical form of Lymes disease that is life threatening to children, the first case ever diagnosed in NJ. The correct treatments were delayed as it took many months to diagnose, since the strain of Lymes is so rare and the tick bite leaves no marks. Since July, she has suffered from memory loss, chronic headaches, severe joint pain, stomach issues, and poor concentration. She has been in and out of the hospital with pneumonia due to her compromised immune system. Her heart and brain have been affected; it is not yet known if this damage is permanent. Even when she recovers, she will have an autoimmune disorder that will last her entire life. Madison’s family has had to seek the services of a doctor who specializes specifically in her disorder. As one of the best doctors in NY, he doesn’t take any insurance. Madison is in physical therapy and as of January 2016, insurance will no longer pay for it. Madison is on several medicines and only finds relief in acupuncture, which is not covered by insurance. Any donations the Boon family would receive would go right into Madison’s medical fund to pay for her treatments and doctor’s appointments.

Even if you can’t donate, please keep Madison and the Boon family in your prayers. God bless and happy holidays to you and yours. Here’s to a better 2016 for Madison!
