Madison's road to recovery from Flu Mist Vaccine.
Donation protected
My best friend Lynette's 20 year old daughter Madison's life was turned upside down in a matter of days due to an adverse reaction to the nasal flu mist vaccine in November 2018. The flu mist has manifested convulsions, uncontrollable tremors and multiple movement issues which doctors are still trying to identify. Madison has lost her ability to walk and is now in a wheelchair with limited use of a walker. Madison is robbed of her speech when her tremors and convulsion episodes attack, which can be daily. Madison is a full time college student in multiple collegiate honor societies and an honor society president as well as volunteer for multiple programs at her university. Madison is a 3.9 GPA student about to graduate college with her bachelors a year early slated for May 2019 and attend grad school to obtain her doctorate in OT. Madison has spent her high school and college years helping those in need and giving back to her community. Madison volunteers at an OT facility on the weekends with children who have disabilities and before the flu mist attacked she was working part time at a school for children with developmental delays. Madison is on extremely strong anti- seizure and anti -tremor medication which doesn't allow for her to remain at college. After 5 different hospitals, continued doctors appointments and testing Madison is back home in Texas with her parents and together they continue to search for answers. Madison is so very strong and will not allow this to take away what she's work so hard for these past years. Madison is a fighter and wants everyone to know she's determined to beat this and make a comeback. The family now faces a battle with the insurance company over Madison's care. Madison's care will be ongoing as doctors are unable to give a timeline as to when she will fully recover. Lynette is unable to work so that she can care for Madison and get her to all of her doctor appointments. Let's join and give back to the one who's always given to everyone else and who now needs us!!
