Hi, my name is Christy Tuckey, and I am fundraising for the care of Madison, a stray German Shepherd who was given a second chance at life through the support of our small town. Madison was found on the side of the road with a rotten, infected leg. Because animal control lacked the funds/resources to care for her injuries, they released her to us to avoid otherwise certain euthanasia. Her leg was successfully amputated, and we are now preparing for the rest of her journey to recovery. Madison was 40 lbs at intake WITH her leg, meaning she was around 37-28 lbs. She was filled with parasites, is heartworm positive and will need to be vaccinated. Since some of this care will be done over the next few months, we have started a gofundme to ensure the money follows Madison whether she remains local or goes into rescue. Thank you for allowing us to share her story! We will continue to update as much as we can.
