In Loving Memory of Madison Riley
I am shattered in a way I didn't know a human being could break. My beautiful, full of love, full of life, free-spirited daughter was killed in a sudden and vicious dog attack. Madi was love, she was light, she was kindness, she was laughter, she was fierce in the most beautiful and disarming way. She loved life with her whole heart and moved through the world with a free-spirit that lifted those around her.
She was six months away from earning her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, from the University of Texas at Tyler, and she had already found her true purpose in teaching young children. Her K-3rd grade students adored her. She had a gift for making every child feel safe, special, and loved. Madison’s heart was made for that work.
So many friends, family members, and even strangers have reached out asking how they can help, and it means more than we can ever express. We’ve created this GoFundMe for those who want to support us as we try to do the impossible-honor Madison’s life and lay her to rest with the love and dignity she deserves. Funds will go toward funeral and memorial expenses and giving her the beautiful farewell her bright spirit deserves.
Thank you for your prayers, your love, your messages, and every ounce of support. We feel it. We need it. And we are so grateful.
I will love you loudly Madi, for all the days of my life.
(This is the only GoFundMe for Madison)
Gratitude
Thank you all so much for your kindness.
I don’t have the right words for what these last days have been, or for the pain of losing my daughter, Madison. But I do know this: every donation, every share, every message, every act of love you’ve shown has carried me through moments when I didn’t think I could stand.
So many of you who donated never met her, and yet you opened your hearts for her. And to those who did know her, you already understand what a light she was. Your generosity is allowing me to honor Madison’s life in a way that reflects the love, joy, and humanity she brought into this world.
Thank you for helping me hold her memory with the dignity and beauty she deserves. I am deeply, profoundly grateful. -Jennifer
