Madison & Alec Need Your Help for Colton
Donation protected
Our 7-week-old son, Colton, was recently diagnosed with a severe case of bacterial meningitis. After being rushed to Blanchard Valley Hospital on May 9th with a fever, Colton was transferred to the NICU, where a spinal tap confirmed the infection. Just hours later, he suffered a seizure and had to be placed on a ventilator before being life-flighted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Since arriving in the ICU, Colton has endured over 20 seizures and two strokes. He’s experiencing brain swelling and restricted blood flow due to the aggressive infection. What we hoped would be a steady recovery has become a heartbreaking fight for our baby boy’s life.
We are currently staying by Colton’s side full-time at Nationwide. His mother, Madison, is still recovering from complications related to her C-section, including two blood transfusions and an open wound. She is on maternity leave, and Alec, Colton’s father, has stepped away from work to care for both his newborn son, Madison, and their sweet Emma Jan, who is only 18 months old.
We’re not a family that easily asks for help, but during this critical time, we are humbly reaching out. Any donation will help cover medical expenses, travel, and basic living costs while we remain in the hospital with Colton.
Your support—whether through a donation, a share, or a prayer—means more than we can ever express. Thank you for helping us stay strong for Colton.
With love and gratitude,
