Madi’s Road to Miss Teen USA 2023

Hi there! My name is Madi Simon and I'm competing for the title of Miss Florida Teen USA 2023! I want to represent not only the 305 but the whole state at Miss Teen USA 2023! I was born with a congenital heart defect and I have had 12 heart surgeries in the past 17 years. I want to be the voice for other kids with CHD & other heart conditions. I know what it's like to be insecure about scars, I have one down my chest. I want to show others with my condition and other types of scares it's amazing to be different from others and to be confident with who you truly are. I aspire to be a Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse after I finish my BSN. I have a passion for helping others especially special needs kids, I grew up around special needs & medically fragile children and have gained a passion for helping them learn and grow. If I win Miss Florida Teen USA 2023 I want to help bring joy to pediatric patients in long-term hospital stays because I believe no one's childhood should be damaged by the cause of health problems. I also want to start a petition to make the euthanization of animals in shelters in Florida illegal, I believe it's cruel and should not happen to any animal.
