Madi & Preston’s NICU Journey

Hi! My name is Iliana and I’m Madi’s cousin. Madi and Preston are the most fun, kind, and Christ loving souls. They recently had their first child (woo hoo!!!) but this season of life did not come without a fight.

Around Madi’s 24th week of pregnancy her high blood pressure began to spiral out of control. She was admitted to the hospital and by week 25 the doctor’s deemed it necessary for the health of Mom and baby to get the little guy out. On October 4th, baby Theo was brought into the world. He has been fighting hard for the past three weeks and recently his fight has become a bit tougher. He is suffering from a severe brain bleed that has caused the need for a more specialized NICU. They have been transported to Kansas City, MO which is about 3 hours from home for them. Madi and Preston have clung to prayer and God’s word through this season. They pray the verse Numbers 6:24-26 over Theo everyday.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

They are continually finding their peace in the Lord through this journey.

That is where we come in! We can help financially as Madi and Preston are small business owners, they own Ozark Mountain Coffee Co in Ozark, MO. This means Preston will be traveling back to Ozark every week to work and get out orders, and then drive back to KC every weekend to be with his family. Madi will be in KC for the foreseeable future with baby Theo.

Any hardship in life comes with financial strain. With Madi & Preston being small business owners and being displaced from their home, it can and will cause even more financial strain. We want to make sure they are taken care of in this season. The last thing they need to be concerned about is how they will be able to afford their needs in this season of life.
