Madhavan's education

Our friend Madhavan is a 6-year old boy living in Kerala in Southern India. We met his lovely family on a boat trip in India in 2024. Madhavan's dream is to get a full education and go to university, goals which are financially impossible without support. We paid for Madhavan's first year at school last summer, and want to continue to pay for the education that he deserves.

As a next step, we will we be climbing Mount Triglav in Slovenia. This is the highest mountain in the Julian Alps (close to 3,000 metres) and will take us two days with a climbing guide, via ferrata equipment and a night in base camp up the mountain. We have been training for the ascent.

We ask for any support you can give towards our cause. We have paid for the guide, equipment, travel and accommodation for this climb, so 100% of what we raise will go to Madhavan's education. School fees and peripheral costs at his age in Kerala are currently about £500 per year. All funds we raise in excess of Madhavan's school fees for this year will be invested towards his future education. We will support Madhavan as far as he can get, and as far as our means allow.
