Madelyn’s Journey With Cancer: Never Losing Hope
Donation protected
Family, friends, and kind-hearted strangers,
Almost a year ago, my sweet friend Grace set up a GoFundMe to support my family and me as we stepped into the hardest season of our lives, and the generosity we received supported Sam and I in more ways than we could ever express our gratitude for. All of the donations were able to help us cover countless medical bills, doctors visits, integrative treatments that were not covered by insurance, scans, and many prescriptions, as well as helping us with the cost of living while we were learning to navigate the storm. The weight that was lifted off of our shoulders during the first year of this fight has been significant. Truly, each of you who donated in any way, shared the GoFundMe, and/or prayed for us, has blessed us so much.
Just last month we were given the news that there has been a quick and sudden spread of the disease in my body. It was not the news we wanted to hear, but we are nowhere near giving up. We are currently pending an appointment with an Integrative Oncologist to start new treatments, which will come with new financial challenges. So, as it seems, our time in this season hasn't yet passed and we still are facing a financial burden that we cannot carry alone. As much as I wish we didn't have to, we are asking for help again.
We are hopeful, standing in faith, and believing that the Lord is going to move in mighty ways. We just have some more time in the waiting. In the meantime, whether you can help by giving $5 or $500, every single donation means the world to us. If you're not in a position to give, sharing this page or covering us in prayer is just as meaningful. (Prayer is always the most powerful.)
We love you all, and again, we are so appreciative of all the help we've received and are continuing to receive. Thank you for carrying the burden with us.
