Madeline’s Medical Journey

Hi! My name is Claire and I’m starting this Gofundme to try to raise funds to support my sisters medical journey.

Madeline suffers with Alports Syndrome (kidney disease) which critically affects her mental health as well as her physical well-being. Over the last several years there have been many medical bills piling up. We have been to countless doctors and she has had many different tests done. As of right now, Madeline’s kidney function is at 22% and has been rapidly declining. Although this all has been effecting her mind and body, Madeline has been determined to graduate with her class and keep up with her job as a hostess in a local restaurant.

As of lately; Madeline is in the process of going through all of the extensive testing to place her on the transplant list. Several family members and friends have offered to go through the testing to see if they are a match to donate a kidney to Madeline and to those amazing people, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Our next steps:

5/1/23- Echocardiogram

5/2/23- Blood test, meeting with transplant coordinator as well as all of the doctors involved in the transplant

5/6/23- Dentist appointment to make sure there are no infections that could effect the surgery
