Madeline’s Brain Surgery Fund

My 15-year-old sister and best friend Madeline Frandsen, known by many as Madi, is the most hilarious, selfless, smart, kind person I know. Earlier this summer, while preparing for her sophomore year of high school, she went in for a MRI concerning her extreme nerve pain. The MRI revealed that part of her brain leaked from her skull causing two very large fluid filled cysts on her spinal cord. The doctors plan to perform brain surgery on August 28th to relieve the pressure on her brain. This procedure will require her to miss 2 weeks of school, spending 5 days in the hospital and 2 in intensive care. My single mom, Amy, who works as a nurse to support her three children, cannot afford all of these medical expenses. It has been a very emotional time and because my mom is our only parent, she has taken off a lot of work for this surgery. We ask for any help anyone is able to provide for my baby sister. Madi is full of love and compassion and she is the last person who should have to go through this.
