My mother, Madeline Colvin, was murdered November 10th outside her home. Maddie was the kindest, most empathetic person you could ask for. She had the biggest heart, and never gave up on anyone. One of the last posts she shared on facebook was perfectly encapsulated the person she was:
1 Corinthians 13:4-8New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
My name is Quin Warr and I am Madeline's eldest child. I am in charge of taking care of my mom's funeral and settling her things.
Here is a link to one of the local news posts as proof: The Daily Progress
The funds donated to this gofundme will go to paying another month on her apartment to allow us more time to go through her things, moving truck costs, storage unit costs, dumpster costs, urn and cremation jewelry costs, and money towards the unpaid time off I've needed to take off to grieve and settle my mother's things.
I might increase the goal amount as additional costs crop up but for now this should cover most of the immediate expenses.
