Last week we lost our mother and sister only a few days apart...

We thought we were prepared for Mom, well at least as prepared as you can be. The passing of Laura Anne was a real sucker punch.

Truth is, her remains and her cat were left undiscovered for about 45 days. The scene in her apartment is the stuff of nightmares...

We still haven't been allowed in there. First it was closed off as a crime scene, and now it is considered a biohazardous site.

That means before we can even enter, there will need to be a professional hazardous materials crew and insect eradication. There will be ozone treatments, professional cleaners, haulers, disposal fees, medical examiners fees, death certificate fees, title fees, and possible attorney costs.

This all has to be done before we can even begin the cremation process and paying for a venue and food for a Memorial Service.

My sister Marisa and I will be taking unpaid time off of work, incurring travel expenses and much more.

Please help us...

On top of grieving these two sudden losses, the money worries are compounding the stress of an already difficult time.

You know I would never ask if we didn't really need it.
