Made to Move: Help Me Keep Dancing

Story

Hi, my name is Amare’David. I recently rediscovered my love for dance. After a season of disconnection and a lack of movement in my life, I’ve come to realize that dance is so much more than steps; it’s a part of who I am. It’s how I express truth, release emotion, push myself to grow, and find a sense of home. Dance comes with high expectations, discipline, and structure, but for me, it’s also a space where I can stand out in a world that often encourages people to act the same. I move with purpose, pride, and power every time I dance, because I’m not just performing, I’m telling a story. Honoring the legacy of those who came before me, and using the gift that God placed inside me. Dance is my love, my passion, and my future. I believe God set me apart for a reason, and I want to honor that by continuing to grow as an artist. Unfortunately, many of the scholarships that are usually available this year are no longer being offered, and the cost of everything, from dance intensives to clothing, is steadily rising. The expenses for a summer dance intensive or new dancewear, would come at a personal and financial sacrifice, so it would be of great help if you could donate or share with someone who can. The total cost of the intensive is $1,200, and it begins Monday, June 23. My first goal is to raise $900 by June 30 to pay off the full cost of the dance intensive.
