Hey All!
This September, I will be competing for the U.S. at the Age Group Triathlon World Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands! While I am very excited for this opportunity, I will need to pay for all of my expenses while competing and training. To help offset this cost, I am setting up a Go Fund Me account for donations toward my race.
Additionally, I want to use this opportunity as a way to extend my experience at worlds to support my community and other young people who desire to excel at athletics. That is why for every $40 donated, I will give an hour of private swimming or triathlon lessons to a child who otherwise could not afford them.
In all my athletic experiences, I recognize that a key factor to my success has been having mentors and coaches who went out of their way to give individual instruction, helped me excel to the next level of competition, and most importantly believed in me. However, youth who experience financial barriers to affording club teams, camps, or private lessons are less likely to have an opportunity to get individual attention from an athletic mentor. I would like to provide this experience working with a coach one on one for youth in need.
My experience in coaching includes coaching a youth swim team for two years, teaching private swim lessons for four years and triathlon lessons for 2 years. I will use this teaching experience, as well as the experience I gain through my upcoming triathlon season, in my free private lessons. I will be doing my lessons over the course of the next academic year.
If you have any questions either about my Worlds competition or about the lessons I will be teaching, please send me a direct message! Additionally, if you know of any kids that would benefit from these lessons, I would love to get connected with them!
Please consider donating to help me fund my trip to the World Championships and give back in my experience by being an athletic mentor and teacher for youth!
Thank you for your support!
