Maddy's 2025 London Marathon for Leadon Court Care Home

Hi I'm Maddy and on the 27th of April I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon, and have chosen to raise money for Leadon Court Care Home, a place that holds a special place in my family's heart. For the past five years, Leadon Court has provided exceptional care for my nan and grandad, offering them nothing but continued support, care and kindness.

Specialising in dementia care, Leadon Court has played a vital role in our lives. Both my nan and grandad have suffered from this cruel disease, and sadly, it was a contributing factor to my grandad passing away at the end of 2024. Dementia doesn’t just impact those diagnosed, it deeply affects their families too. But thanks to the love and dedication of the incredible staff at Leadon Court, the experience with the disease has been made a little easier.

Running this marathon to raise money for the home is my way of showing gratitude for the outstanding care they have given, not only to my grandparents but to so many other residents and their families. By raising funds for Leadon Court, I hope to support the staff in continuing their invaluable work, ensuring my nan and other residents receive the comfort and care they deserve.
