My name is Kelly my family and I are long term Mission BC resident, My daughter Madison Apostoliuk recently had issues with her left leg and arm that made them feel "wonky" as she would say.

It went away after after a day and the doctor said not to worry; anything serious does not just go away so she should be fine.

A week later she is in the ER (ended up being there a week as they did not have a bed available) as she kept stalling her car because she could not push her clutch in!

I brought her home yesterday and the amount of medical gear she needs breaks my heart! My little kid who went with me on a 13k walking tour of Vancouver a month ago now needs a walker to go to the bathroom!

She is a fighter and if you met her you know she is a glass half full kind of person.

The mri showed lesions on her brain which are impairing her motor function.

They are still trying to figure out what caused them and try and stop any progression , but the outlook for her ever being able to rely on her left side is looking pretty bleak.

The signs are pointing to Multiple Sclerosis, and she will need a bunch of physio and medical gear to adapt to her new life.

She can NO longer drive her car as it is standard and her left leg was hit the hardest by this illness and she can not reliably use the clutch anymore.

I suggested this kickstarter to help her get the supplies she needs to adapt to a new life and lifestyle and to help her trade in her car and buy or finance a newer one that is an automatic.

Money raised will be used primarily for transportation that will be reliable and have roadside assistance and BCAA as she can no longer change a tire if she gets a flat tire or has a dead battery.

If there is any left over it will be used to purchase things to help her adapt to her loss of function.

What is raised will determine what vehicle she can buy. We are going to look at Hyundais today as they have the best warranty for low priced vehicles.

With her trade in ( she still owes on her current car) we just need to come up with enough of a down payment that along with her trade puts her monthly payment no MORE than $200 a month due to her going on disability at least in the short term

If we can lower the payment by having a larger down payment then all the better as she is already having added expenses due to her disabilities.

Without a vehicle she can drive she has no way of getting around and the nearest corner store is only a half a kilometer away but to a person with a walker that is a long long way.

I bought her a fit bit at Xmas and she has been adamant about getting in 10,000 steps in a day, now she can barely do one without help.

Please help us raise enough so she can get a newer automatic car and get her mobile again!
