Hi everyone! We are Maddy’s teachers and know firsthand how amazing Maddy and her family are. This is why (with their permission) we decided to create this page.

As you might know, Maddy fights Cystic Fibrosis everyday. Even though this is an incurable disease and so difficult to live with, Maddy always has a smile on her face & has a great attitude. She is pure sunshine & the picture of resilience.

Some days are worse than others but recently things have gotten tough. Maddy went into the hospital before Christmas because her lungs weren’t getting enough oxygen. She has been in the hospital ever since and is now battling the flu.

Unfortunately, mom hasn’t been able to work since she is taking care of Maddy. Mom has been battling her own serious health issues this past year yet she always keeps on a brave face to make sure Maddy is healthy and happy. This situation is heartbreaking for her. They don’t have much family around to help them either.
