Maddison’s memories
Donation protected
We are raising money for my sister Maddison who is 16 years old and has been battling cancer since 2018. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (a very rare form of cancer) in her left knee. She was having chemotherapy for 8 months and then was taken to Birmingham hospital to have her knee replaced with titanium. Maddison then got the all clear and was going for scans every 2 months. Then in may 2020, they found 6 tumours spread between both lungs and had more chemotherapy, and another 2 operations to remove the tumours. One of the tumours was too close to the heart to be removed properly, and we were told it would be a big operation that they weren’t prepared to do as the tumours will keep coming back because of the faulty gene they found. She was given a tablet to keep the tumour stable and we have been informed that Maddison’s health isn’t going to improve and once this tablet stops working they have no further treatment for her. We don’t know how long Maddison has left, but she manages to always keeps positive and we want to raise money to do the things she has dreamed of, and to make memories as a family. Considering lockdown has restricted most of the things she wanted to do, we are hoping to raise around £2000 to help give her the life she deserves! Anything little will be a massive help. Thank you!
