Maddie O'Donohue was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Cancer in April 2017. Chemotherapy began shortly after, with a treatment roadmap of 18 months. During this time brave Maddie has undergone numerous procedures, including operations to remove 90% of the cancer and two stem-cell transplants.
The oncologists, doctors, nurses and support staff are all incredible; and Maddie has a strong, happy and determined nature - unless she is in pain, she is always ready for a smile and a chat.
Unfortunately for Maddie and her family, multiple complications have arisen as a result of the treatments and from the progression of the cancer itself. These complications are holding up further radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment that will need to take place once Maddie's health and strength have improved.
The money will be used to help the family with basic expenses. The family have been unable to work during this time as they have been by Maddie's side throguhout and will need to continue to do so.
Coming into the Christmas season Maddie has had further diagnoses that will make her battle even harder. I encourage you to dig deep, donate and help Maddie and her family in this fight.
