I’ve always found it challenging to ask for help when it comes to my personal life, but this July has really taken a toll on my finances. Between unexpected vet visits and dental expenses, my bank account has taken quite a hit.
To give you some context, I recently faced a hefty dental bill of $1,802 for two crowns and a maintenance periodontal cleaning. And unfortunately, that's just the beginning—there’s more to come once everything is finalized this week.
Just yesterday, on July 23, I had a real scare with my dog, Maddie. She managed to munch on whole peaches, pits and all, from our backyard, which led me to an emergency vet visit costing a staggering $2,654. That wasn’t the end of it; the final bill will include the endoscopy needed to retrieve ten pits from her stomach, which hadn’t yet been added to the invoice.
On top of all this, I’m still searching for a job after being laid off last November. Thankfully, my budgeting skills have kept me from dipping into my savings until now, but I’m feeling the pressure.
I know that many people are facing hardships right now, but if you find it in your heart to make a donation, no matter the amount, it would mean the world to me. If donating isn’t an option for you, sharing my story could be just as impactful.
Maddie and I would be incredibly grateful for any support you can provide! Thank you for considering helping us during this challenging time.
