Hi my name is Sarah , and I’m lucky enough to know Maddie and her beautiful mum, Leah, through our children at school.

I’ve known Maddie for a few years now, and she is quite simply one of the most delightful, beautiful and sparkly young people I’ve ever met. Her passion for life is impossible to miss.

On August 1st, beautiful Madeleine (Maddie) suffered a sudden brain haemorrhage and was rushed to emergency with the help of our incredible paramedics.

Since then, she has spent her days in ICU receiving life-saving treatment, with her mother, father and brother never leaving her side.

Anyone who knows Maddie knows just how full of life she is. She is always the one to lighten the mood, make people laugh and bring joy wherever she goes. She has a beautiful ability to brighten every room she enters.

Maddie is fiercely loyal, compassionate and always up for an adventure. She is a risk taker with a huge passion for her animals and the outdoors, and she brings so much love and energy to the people and animals around her.

Maddie now faces a long and challenging road to recovery. While the family’s focus is entirely on getting Maddie through this and supporting her every step of the way, the journey ahead will bring significant ongoing medical and rehabilitation costs.

Leah, Jerry and Christopher have been blown away by the outpouring of love, prayers, messages and offers of support from family, friends and the wider community. With their permission, this page has been created.

All funds raised will go towards Madeleine’s recovery and ongoing medical and associated costs, helping to give Maddie the best possible chance as she begins the long road ahead.
