Maddie's Cancer Expense Fund

Mid-January 2017, 15-year-old Maddie Munhall was diagnosed with high-grade Chondroblastic - Osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer.

What we thought was just a pain from doing gymnastics in the front yard proved to be a tumor.  The tumor consumed her entire humerus bone in her left arm.

Maddie has been nothing but optimistic throughout the whole experience.  She's completed three months of chemotherapy and had a major surgery.  On April 28, 2017, her humerus bone was replaced with a titanium rod, as well as elbow and shoulder replacement.  Maddie still has another 4-6 months of chemotherapy ahead.

The Make-A-Wish foundation has granted Maddie one wish. She has decided that she really wants to visit California. We are putting up this GoFundMe to try to raise funds for a camera, something that Maddie would like in order to capture her journey.  As an aspiring photographer, she would like to put together a photo essay of her experiences after being diagnosed with cancer, her treatments, and surgies that follow.

Funds generated from this campaign will go towards a camera, as well as to help cover costs not covered by insurance, including travel to/from the hospital and meals.  Please help us make this experience a little better for Maddie.
