Hello friends and family.
As you may or may not know, I participate in a Fine Arts competition that is organized throughout all the Assembly of God churches in the United States. This competition is one way our church helps students develop their talents in drama, singing, musical instruments, sign language, bible presentation, art, and other media while learning how to use those talents to minister to others.
This competition consists of three levels; sectionals, districts, and nationals.
This year I, along with 4 other students, have made it on to the national level of competition where we will be competing against other churches in Anaheim, California this August.
As you can imagine the cost for a trip to California is quite high with my entire trip costing $1,750.00. I’m committed to raising my own funds to participate in this trip, I’m going to do it in a unique way, and I’m asking for your help.
My Fundraising Plan
As you also may or may not know I love the game of soccer. So, in order to raise the funds for my trip, I want to merge my love of soccer with my commitment of raising the funds for my trip.
Here's how...
I, just little ole me, am going to shoot 1000 goals in 1 day. Yep... you read that correctly... 1000 goals in 1 day. What I’m asking you to do is sponsor me for each goal. For example:
If you sponsor me at .01 per goal that would = a $10.00 total donation
.02 per goal = $20.00
.10 per goal = $100.00
.20 per goal = $200.00
Now these are just examples feel free to donate as much or as little you would like.
Time Frame
I’m planning on making these goals in mid-June but a date has not been set as I need to wait until soccer season is over. Once the date has been chosen I will update the page with the date.
With that in mind I'm hoping to hit my goal of $1750.00 by June 1.
Verification
To verify that I make these goals, I’m planning on having someone there to count and confirm my shots. Also, from time to time that day, someone will do a Facebook live or Instagram live so you can see.
My Final Word
It’s hard to express to you how much your support means to me. I'm hoping you can support me in my goal to get to California but I also understand that not everyone is able to give. You can also help by spreading the word for me and sharing the link to my page.
