Maddie's big fight

Maddie is a bight and amazing little 4 year old who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia B Cell in early in June of 2019 at the just the age of 2 years old. In November of 2021 Maddie got to ring the bell as that was her end of treatment but just one month later 10 days before Christmas Rebecca and Matthew received the horrible news that Maddie has unfortunately relapsed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia due to this horrible and heartbreaking news my sister had no choice and had to quit her job to be able to be there and give the best possible care for Maddie and the family.

 

My sister is one of the most kind and caring person and an amazing mum that would go above and beyond for her children and would always put others before herself and having to see her and Matthew and their 3 kids to have to go through this all again is very unfair and heartbreaking that no family should ever have to go through once let alone twice. They have a long and hard road ahead of them that's going to be both mentally and financially hard. They have their whole family behind them and supporting them each and every step of the way during the roller coaster of a ride. Due to only having one parent working now I've set up this Go Fund Page so they have one less worry on their mind when its comes to financial matters all they should need to be worrying about is their beautiful children and getting Maddie through this battle that's ahead of them.

 

With COVID-19 once again showing its ugly face the hospital is only allowing the parents to be in the room and on the odd occasion siblings are aloud to visit for a few hours on the weekend. Due to Maddie having a i stomach bug could ESBL she is always put in isolation room and is unable to attend to the starlight room while been in hospital i want to help with what ever i can do to help get them through this.

 Due to Maddie relapsing the chemo path for her is quite harsh compared to last time and the road looks like it will lead to needing a bone marrow transplant this  will be a long stay in hospital away from family and our close friends also during Maddie's lumber puncture the discovered that Maddie also has a condition that the fluid around her brain doesn't drain as normal as other kids her age this is called Hydrocephalus this not a life threating condition its just another thing she is having to unfairly deal with. No child should have have to go through this and no parent should ever have to either and now having to do it all over again is far from easy and quite heartbreaking i  personally want thank everyone with my whole heart that has donated to our go fund me words cant explain how thankful we are.
