One week ago, today, December 8th Maddie Clear had a serious car accident with her brother Gavin while driving to Petoskey High School. The icy conditions that morning caused her car to spin out and she was hit broadside.
* This impact caused large internal injuries. She is suffering from a lacerated spleen and kidney and a broken pelvis. Her brother Gavin has also received treatment for a minor concussion and was released that day.
* To date, Maddie remains in the ICU at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital. She has received 4 blood transfusions and remains on strict bedrest.
* Medical bills are being paid by insurance but Maddie’s family is accruing daily expenses.
* Funds for this cause will immediately help Maddie’s family to support acute and long term rehabilitation.
