Jenn has wanted nothing but to be a mother for years. She dealt with infertility issues for quite some time. Many miscarriages, countless fertility treatments, hundreds of doctors appointments and more tears than anyone could count. After continued fertility treatments, it finally happened.  They were pregnant with their baby girl. Maddi was due to come into this world in May, but she and God had other plans. Jenn woke up around 2am the morning of March 13th and knew she was in labor. They rushed to Sonora Regional where it was quickly determined she needed a little more care and was mediflighted to Doctors Medical in Modesto.  After hours of trying to stop contractions and slow delivery this is where Maddison Grey made her debut on March 14th. As Maddi was delivered the room became quiet- and no one could tell Jenn if her baby girl was ok. Fast forward to when Jenn was finally able to touch the hand of her baby girl before she was mediflighted (without her parents) to Oakland Children’s hospital. Maddison was born with an extremely rare skin disorder called harlequin ichthyosis. Because of the severity and all of the unknowns, the team of doctors and nurses were unable to save her. Maddison passed away in her mother’s arms peacefully and finally with no more pain on March 18th. No one can describe the loss of losing a baby, and shouldn’t have too. On top of having to move forward with funeral arrangements, medical bills are already starting to stack up. Jenn is not one to ask for help- so this is hard for them, but they really do need help right now. I know some may ask, but at this point there will not be pictures of Maddison shared. The family is doing their best to cope with this tragedy. Please keep them in your prayers.
