As some of you may or may not know, I left a secure job last August to pursue my lingerie dreams. My life has been an exciting mix of scary and exhilarating since I made the leap. Sure, there have been moments of self doubt, which is only natural and I expected, but each and every time those feelings flood in, I am reassured that I'm doing the right thing. Truly, I am blessed to finally be able to live the life that I want to live wholeheartedly.
February is a crucial time for Madalynne. The last two weeks of the month are like fashion week for the panty obsessed. First, in Las Vegas, there is MAGIC , and on the other side of the country, in New York, there is CURVE . Also occurring at the same time in NY is The Lingerie Selection , an exclusive trade experience showcasing a select group of new and upcoming lingerie, loungewear and accessories brands. Buyers and press will be invited to discover exciting collections in an intimate setting, and will able to view assortments, talk shop and place orders.
While I fully intend to continue the sewing aspect of my biz - more lingerie patterns and more sewing workshops - I also plan to grow the ready to wear (RTW) side. Since November I've been working on a fall/holiday collection. Yes, a full collection with more than one style! My initial investment of $5,000 was out of pocket and covered the cost to source and ship materials as well as the development and creation of samples, fit models, garment testing and more. But all this work means nothing if I can't get orders and I am asking for your help to raise funds to be a part of this exciting week just a few weeks away. So I started this Go Fund Me Campaign.
Your funding will support:
1. Participation in The Lingerie Collection ($2,200)
2. Material costs: the creation and printing of poster, postcard, hangers, business cards, thank you cards ($400)
As a small token of my appreciation, I will give away a pair of the Nina panty to 3 folks, who will be chosen once the goal is met. Additionally, if you donate more than $100, you will receive a 30% discount to either a bra workshop or a Nina bralette or panty with the code donate30. If we exceed the goal of $3,800, I will donate the rest to The Bra Recyclers , a bra recycling company that has partnered with Bra Recycling Ambassadors to recycle over 1 million bras to help women in need.
