Hello, my name is Ali Huffman. I have known Maddie King for the better years of my life. Maddie is kind, courageous, free-spirited, and always the shoulder to cry on... She was recently in a terrible car accident that has left her with numerous physical injuries. On her way home to Austin, TX on the night of Tuesday, July 6th, Maddie was ejected from her sunroof after the car rolled several times. By the Lord's grace she is alive. Her father, Steve King who recently passed in April 2018, was also most certainly looking over her that night. Miraculously, Maddie suffered no brain or spinal injuries during the crash. However, she has a long road ahead of her to recovery. Maddie has a broken foot, arm, ribs, clavicle, pelvis, and broken bones in her groin areas. In addition, 50% of Maddie's body is covered in road rash and she had numerous cuts that needed stitching. She was life flighted to Amarillo, TX where her family was able to meet her hours later. Maddie has a long road ahead of her to recovery. I ask that we as a community help to support Maddie by covering her medical expenses and lost wages during her recovery so that she has time to focus on what is important. Her resilience, charm, optimism, and bravery have always been endearing to her friends and family. We wish Maddie the most supportive and comforting prayers during her recovery.
