Mad Hatcher Chicken fire/starting from scratch
Donation protected
Nearly 3000 chickens are dead after a fire burned an outbuilding for local poultry farmer Bernie Nash with Mad Hatcher Poultry. On the evening of November 2, Mr. Nash received a phone call from a friend notifying him that his poultry barn was on fire. His business consists of raising Barred Rocks and the exclusive Bleu Footed, aka Poulet Blue chickens. These birds are raised, processed, and distributed throughout Washington State to select restaurants and stores. Mr. Nash has built this business from scratch with a significant amount of funds invested making this his livelihood. We are asking those willing to contribute to the rebuilding of Mad Hatcher Poultry farm. Any amount donated will be for the purchase of feed, birds, and equipment. A $20 donation would help in raising approximately 10 chicks. Bernie has lost approximately $150,000 in chicks and equipment and any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated. Bernie is not only a very good friend, but a very charitable and honorable business man who could use our help during this giving holiday season.
